Neola Rogene Jones, the daughter of Arthur Sr. and Olava Krogevold (Johnson) Wampler, was born September 10, 1925, near Holmes, Iowa. She was educated in country school near Holmes and attended High School in Clarion. On September 17, 1947, Rogene was united in marriage to Raynard Jones of Goldfield, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple lived in Holmes for a short time before moving to their farm southwest of Goldfield, where they farmed until retiring in 1990 and moved to Eagle Grove. Rogene was a member of Holmes Lutheran Church, where she was baptized and confirmed. Rogene was busy helping on the farm but also enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and playing the piano.

Rogene passed away on Monday, May 2, 2011, at Rotary Ann Nursing Home in Eagle Grove, at the age of 84 years. She was preceded in death by her Parents; sister, Arlene Wicks and daughter-n-law, Jacque Jones. Rogene is survived by her husband, Raynard Jones of Eagle Grove; son, Steven Jones of Montgomery, IL; daughters, Christy Jaminet and husband Randy of Sherrard, IL and LoAnn Jones of Renwick; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Arthur Wampler, Jr. of Montgomery, IL and sister, Donna Wolff of Clarion.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 6, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. at the Holmes Lutheran Church in Holmes with Pastor Richard Taylor officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Goldfield. Memorials may be directed to Wright County Hospice.
