April 2, 1886 -- December 21, 1969

Minnie M. Lemke was born April 2, 1886, at Moultan, Ohio, the daughter of William and Mary Straatman. She was married to Reinhold R. Lemke on April 6, 1904. They farmed in Liberty township until Mr. Lemke's death in 1943. Mrs. Lemke moved to Garner in 1944 and has made her home here since that time. She has been active in her church WSCS circle, was a member of the Garner Grandmother's club, the Birthday club, and the Ex-Farmers Homemakers. Survivors include two sons and two daughters; Walter Lemke of Klemme, Reuben Lemke of Long Beach, Calilf., Mrs. Carl W. (Meta) Bohn, Garner, and Mrs. J. W. (Irene) Yanoski of Klemme; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Harvey (Mathilda) Wilkins of St. Mary, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother, Louis of Klemme, and one sister, Emma Niemeyer of Garner. ... Burial in Concord Cemetery, Garner, Iowa.
