Funeral services for Henry Ganiere, 85, were conducted Dec. 11 at New Richmond [Richland], Minn. Services were held at the Congregational Church by the Rev. Heinz Schwartz, long time friend of Mr. Ganiere. Interment was in St. Peter's Cemetery, New Richland. Mr. Ganiere passed away suddenly Dec. 7 due to a cerebral hemorrhage. He was entertaining friends at his home at that time. He was born June 25, 1872 in Alsace-Lorraine. Preceding him in death were his first wife, Catherine; a son and a daughter. Mr. Ganiere and Mrs. Pearl Bertelson were married Feb. 8, 1947 at Albert Lea, Minn. survivors in addition to his widow include four sons, Roger, Columbia Falls; Ernest, Charles, and Albert, New Richland; a daughter, Mrs. Herman Nemitz, New Richland; and two stepchildren, Mrs. Roger Ganiere, Columbia Falls; and Kenwood Bertelson, Albert Lea, Minn.; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Ganiere went to New Richland for the funeral services, and have returned to Columbia Falls [Montana].
