September 27, 1891 -- August 27, 1953

WOOLSTOCK — Emile Claude, 61, well known Woolstock farmer, died early Thursday morning at his farm home 1 1/2 miles north of town. Mr. Claude, born in Wall Lake township, had farmed in this vicinity nearly all his life. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Woolstock Methodist church, Rev. John Scrivner officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery at Ft. Dodge.

Emile L. Claude, son of Louis and Sophia Claude, was born in Wright county, Sept. 27, 1891 and passed away at his home on Aug. 27, 1953. He was united in marriage February, 1916, to Miss Marie Ahnne and started farming in Hamilton county. After two years they moved to their present farm home. Surviving are his wife and four children: Mrs. John (Ruth) Stepp of Iowa Falls, Marvin L. Claude of Carmel, Calif., Gaylord and Dorothy and Jeanne at home. Also surviving are five granddaughters and one grandson, three sisters, Mrs. Philip Grandgeorge of Woolstock, Mrs. Nellie Loux of Clarion and Lena who has made her home with the family for several years. two brothers, Henry and Joe of Woolstock and his step-mother, Mrs. Nettie Claude of Woolstock. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son and one daughter who died in infancy and by one son, Richard who drowned when he was 11 years of age. Mr. Claude was a member of the Methodist church in Woolstock. He was very active in Farm Bureau and Farmers Co-op.
