PLAN RITES FOR WILLIAM KIRCHGATTER

Clear Lake-- William Kirchgatter, 71, of Carlisle died suddenly Saturday in Des Moines. He died at Franklin Junior High School in Des Moines while attending a granddaughter's school program. He is a former Clear Lake resident. Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 1:30 pm at the Zion Lutheran church, with Pastor Murley Severtson officiating. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery. The Wilcox Funeral Home is in charge.

William Kirchgatter was born Nov 5, 1894, at Corwith, son of August and Ida Kirchgatter. He lived in Clear Lake for 20 years, farming for a period one mile south of Clear Lake. He was employed by the city many years and for the Clear Lake Sanitary District. He had lived in Carlisle for the last two years.

Surviving are six daughters: Mrs. Clinton (Rosemary) Allison, Des Moines; Mrs. Larry (Jean Ann) Fridlington, Newton; Mrs. Kenneth (Margaret) Daleske, Des Moines; Mrs. Robert (Carol) Whiteis, Forest City; Miss Dolores Kirchgatter, Anoka, Minn, and Mrs. Donald (Judy) Westrum, Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. Emma Runge, Nora Springs; a brother, Emil, Carpenter; 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

WILL KIRCHGATTER RITES TUESDAY

Clear Lake, IA -- Services for Will A. Kirchgatter, 71, of Carlisle, will be 1:30 pm Tuesday at the Zion Lutheran Church here, with burial at the Clear Lake Cemetery. Mr. Kirchgatter died at Franklin Junior High School in Des Moines Saturday while attending a granddaughter's school activity. He lived in Clear Lake for 20 years, and was a city employee here until his retirement. He had lived in Carlisle about two years, and was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Carlisle. Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Rosemary Allison and Mrs. Judy Westrum, both of Des Moines; Mrs. Jean Ann Fridlington of Newton, Mrs. Margaret Daleske of Carlisle, Mrs. Carol Whiteis of Forest City and Miss Dolores Kirchgatter of Anoka, Minn; a sister, Mrs. Emma Runge of Nora Springs, a brother, Emil, of St. Ansgar; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
