Virgil Weirick, 70, of Rt. 1, Neillsville, Wisconsin died Friday evening in Neillsville as a result of pneumonia. He was born March 21, 1889, in Illinois, and later moved to Iowa. On December 1, 1912, he was married to Anna Rose Wilcox at Webster City, Ia. They farmed in Iowa and in Minnesota until the death of Mrs. Weirick on September 3, 1933. He then worked as a farm hand until 1953, when he made his home with his son, Wilbur. Mr. Weirick is survived by the following children: Wilbur of Rt. 1 Neillsville; Mrs. Lloyd (Esther) Dixon of Bancroft, Ia.; Ray of Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. William (Rose) Morrill of Chicago, Ill.; and John, with the army in Italy. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Vaughn of Fairchild, Ill., and Mrs. Maggie Scott of Albuquerque, N. M. Funeral services were to be held Wednesday afternoon in Eagle Grove, Ia., with burial in the cemetery at Troy, Ia. Local arrangements were made by the Bergemann Funeral Home.
