Mrs. Margaretha Gebest Services Here Tuesday

Mrs. Margaretha Christian Helmke Gebest, 82, died Monday morning, Jan. 29, 1973, at Balmer Nursing Home, Estherville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Reese-Henry Chapel, Estherville, with the Rev. Norris Hanson of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ringsted, officiating. Interment will be made in Oak Hill Cemetery. She was born Feb. 26, 1890, to Mr. and Mrs. Chris Helmke and lived in Renwick until her marriage, July 28, 1920, to Frank Gebest. Following their marriage she and her husband moved to Estherville. Her husband died in March, 1933. In 1944 Mrs. Gebest moved to Santa Ana, Calif., residing there until 1962, when she came to Ringsted to make her home with her daughter. She had been a resident at Balmer Nursing Home since September, 1968. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Norman (Margaret) Wilberg, Ringsted; three grandsons; one brother, Jacob Helmke, Fort Dodge. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, three sisters and one son, Floyd. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today until time of services at Reese-Henry Funeral Home, Estherville.
