Edith Caroline Trotter, the daughter of Charles and Ruth (Swafford) Trotter, was born September 28, 1930, on a farm near Eagle Grove. Edith attended Unlimited Opportunities since 1973, moved to Clarion where she resided for several years before moving to the Rehabilitation Center in Hampton. Edith touched all those who knew her by her sweet and loving ways. She will be missed by all her family and friends.
Edith went home to be with the Lord on March 6, 2011 at the Rehabilitation Center in Hampton at the age of 80 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Darrell Gene, Robert and Kenneth Trotter. Survivors include her sister, Naomi Hill of Dakota City; eight nieces and nephews, Douglas (Sujeane) Charlson, of Nevada, Dorian (Pam) Charlson of Des Moines; Janine Witte of Fort Dodge, Janet (Mike) Craig of Fort Dodge, Daryl (Kelly) Charlson of Ankeny, Joyce (Terry) Nerhus of Fort Dodge, Dennis Charlson of Humboldt, Janella (Brian) Sanburn of Owatonna, MN and 27 great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:0 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011, at the Foust Funeral Home in Goldfield, 602 North Washington, with Pastor Robert Dishman officiating with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
