November 2, 1921 - June 4, 1987

Funeral service for Clarice Schrader were held Monday, June 8 at 1:30 p.m. in the Union Sunday School in Clermont, Iowa. The Rev. Donald Loots officiated. Schutte Funeral Service, Postville, Iowa was in charge of arrangements. Interment was in God's Acres Cemetery, Clermont, Iowa. Casket bearers were David Smith, LaVerne Swenson, Roy Tatro,, Marian Cunningham, Gene Olson, Brad Orth, Bruce Dugstad, and Veldon Orth.

Clarice was born November 2, 1921 at Chester, Iowa to Edmund and Harriet (Halver) Dugstad. She died Thursday morning, June 4, 1987 in University Hospitals at Iowa City, Iowa. She was baptized in Bloomfield Lutheran Church at Spring Valley, Minnesota and graduated from the Clermont High School in 1939. Clarice had been a member of the Order of Eastern Star and a national organization, TTT, at Ankeny, Iowa and a member of the Ankeny United Methodist Church.

On August 17, 1948 she married Bernard J. Schrader in the Little Brown Church at Nashua, Iowa. The couple had a son, James. They lived in Clermont for 3 years where her husband taught school. They had also lived at Kanawha, Iowa in 1955 and Ankeny and Miami. While her husband was serving in the armed forces during World War II, Clarice lived in Clermont. In 1985 they moved to their present home in Postville, Iowa.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Donald Dugstad. Surviving are her husband, "Bud" Schrader, a son James Schrader and his wife, Kathleen of Decatur, Illinois; 3 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Olson of Clermont, Iowa.
