November 13, 1889 -- August 7, 1939

The body of Ben Mincemeyer, age 48, who passed away suddenly Monday morning at 10:15 while at work as water pump Inspector for the C. G. W. railroad at Clarion, will arrive in Oelwein Wednesday afternoon and lie in state at the Brant Funeral Home until the hour of the funeral, 2:30 o'clock, Thursday afternoon. Interment will be at Oakdale cemetery. Mr. Mincemeyer and his wife, who was formerly Winifred Deyo made their home in Oelwein at one time. He is a brother-in-law of Earl and Jim Deyo and Gladys McCreery of Oelwein.
