BELMOND, IA - Julie D. Boelman, age 64, of Belmond, passed away Saturday (Feb. 26, 2011) at her home in Belmond. Funeral services for Julie Boelman will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, at the United Methodist Church in Belmond. Pastor Mike Druhl will officiate. Burial will take place in the Belmond Cemetery. Visitation for Julie Boelman will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Monday, Feb. 28, at the Dugger Funeral Home, 111 Luick's Lane South in Belmond and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Memorials may be made in Julie Boelman's name to local educational programs.

Julie is survived by her husband of 42 years David of Belmond, her son, Brandon; daughter-in-law, Valerie; and her two special grandsons, Broderick Julian and Kellen Jakob Boelman of Altoona. She is also survived by her parents, Richard and Bonnie Eckhoff of Belmond, a brother Jim (Connie) Eckhoff of Meservey, a brother, Jon (Dawn) of Rochester, Minn., two nieces, Kim G. and Emily Eckhoff; and two nephews, Brian and Grant Eckhoff. She is also survived by one grand-niece, Danielle; and three grand-nephews, Jerimiah, Ben and Jonah and also her aunt Connie Eckhoff of Belmond and Uncle Dean and Aunt Mavis Gunderson of Conyers, Ga. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ernest and Tena Eckhoff, and Chester and Sena "Jackie" Gunderson; an uncle, Stewart Eckhoff, and a cousin, Steve Eckhoff.
