Gary G. "Spinner" Anderson, 71, of Duncombe, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2011, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice House. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 28th at 10:30a.m. in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Pastor Susan Buysse officiating. Burial will be in Colfax Cemetery, near Vincent. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife Betty of Duncombe; daughter, Sherry (Craig) Gibbons of Fort Dodge; son, Rod (Jaci) Anderson of Eagle Grove; grandchildren, Annie (Justin) Wolfe of Fort Dodge; Brandy Gibbons of Duncombe; Valerie Gibbons of Cedar Falls; Kyle and Kara Anderson of Eagle Grove; great grandchildren, Alexis, Dru "Bud", Jayden and Dawson; brothers, Ronnie (Doris) Anderson of Fort Dodge; Wayne (Kay) Anderson of Coalville; Keith (Jeannie) Anderson of Fort Dodge; sister, Phyllis (Merle) Faith of Coalville; a brother-in-law, Don Woodman of Fort Dodge; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Viola Weaver Anderson; and a sister, Carolyn "Tootie" Woodman.

Gary G. Anderson was born March 9, 1939, in Fort Dodge. He attended schools here. On November 28, 1959, he was united in marriage to Betty Dencklau at St. John's Lutheran Church in Vincent. The couple made their home in Coalville and later in Duncombe. He worked for National Gypsum for 44 years. Gary was also a hobby farmer. He enjoyed working on tractors, riding horses, camping, fishing, and visiting with friends in his shop. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
