Alf Rofinot Passes Away In St. Mary's

Alf Rufinot died in St. Mary's hospital yesterday at noon. He entered the hospital on October 21, when stricken with paralysis, and lingered on, improving a little at times, but making no permanent headway, until the final hour came yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. Rufinot came to the Yukon in the year 1898, at the time of the big stampede. Mr. Rufinot engaged in mining for a time, working on various creeks in the country. For a long time he worked on the docks and in business houses in the city. His wife died in 1918 and Mr. Rufinot took her remains back to Carthage, New York, where her relatives reside, and had her remains buried there.

The deceased, who was in his sixty-sixth year, was born in Corwith, Iowa. He leaves three brothers and a sister, Mrs. Lintinger, all of Corwith, Iowa, to mourn him.
