September 16, 1952 -- May 11, 1997

Curt Heide, 44, Webster City, died Sunday, May 11, 1997 at his mother's home (Marlys Heide). Mr. Heide will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral home, with Rev. Mike Morgan officiating. The cremains will be buried at the Vernon Township Cemetery near Renwick. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Curtis Peter Heide, son of Robert and Marlys (Engstrom) Heide, was born Sept. 16, 1952 at Fort Dodge. He graduated from Webster City High School in 1970. He also attended Iowa Central Community College at Webster City. On June 26, 1976 he married Barbara Ann Clemmons at Webster City. They were later divorced. For 15 year he was employed at Heller's Carbonic West in Webster City, as plant manager. He also worked at Frigidaire for three years. He retired because of failing health.

He is survived by his mother, Marlys Heide, Fort Dodge; sisters, Dorthea Oppedal, Colfax, and RaNona Hubbard, Colorado Springs, Colo.; nieces, Danielle and Dionne Hubbard; and two great-nieces and a nephew. He is preceded in death by his father; and grandparents, John and Dorathea Heide, and Alvin and Beatrice Engstrom.

Mr. Heide was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church, Isaac Walton League, Ducks Unlimited, and Pheasant Forever. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and participated in various sharp shooting events.
