Elmer M. Timm, 89, of Webster City, died Friday February 16, 2007 at the Hamilton Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Travis Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in the Cass Township Cemetery with graveside military rites conducted by the American Legion Post #191 of Webster City. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Foster Funeral & Cremation Center.
Elmer Melvin Timm, son of John and Mary Timm was born April 28, 1917 in Hamilton County. He graduated from Lincoln High School and served in the United States Navy during WW II. On December 1, 1946, he married June Olson in Webster City. Mr. Timm was a lifetime farmer north of Webster City. He had also been employed by the Webster City Schools where he had retired. June died on April 18, 1996.
Elmer is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Terry Timm of Louisville, KY, Rick and Bev Timm, and Robert and Glenda Timm all of Webster City; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In addition to his wife June, he was preceded in death by his son David Timm; grandson, Jeff Robert Timm; brothers, Ed, Carl, Paul and Walt Timm; sister, Ester Horn and his parents. He was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #191 for over 55 years.
