Darlene Pruismann, 78, of Webster City, died Thursday, August 1, 2002 at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Foster Funeral Home, with Vicar Terry Reaman officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Darlene Lydia Claude, daughter of William and Lydia Hilpipre Claude, was born July 12, 1924 on a farm west of Woolstock. She received her education in the Woolstock Public School. On Dec. 28, 1943 she married Wilis LeRoy Pruismann at Yankton, South Dakota. The couple resided at rural Webster City and later moved to Blairsburg. She had been employed at Kramers Truck Stop, a bus driver for the Blairsburg school system and the Curve Inn at Webster City. Mr. Pruismann died Jan. 14, 2000.
Mrs. Pruismann is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Darwin and Shirley Pruismann, Bill and Marcia Pruismann, Kendall and Rhonda Pruismann, all of Webster City; Rick Pruismann of Thornton, CO; daughter and son-in-law, Darla and Jack Fox of Apple Valley, MN; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; sisters, Phyllis Louf of San Diego, CA; Wilma Sylvester of Sioux City; brother Merlin Claude of Texas City, TX; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Remington Pruismann and a brother, Daryl Claude. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
