September 26, 1903 --- January 17, 1998

Grace (Mamminga) Klaver, 94, formerly of Kamrar, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 1998 at the Clarion Health Care Center in Clarion. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Community Church of Kamrar, with Dr. Craig Bex to officiate and burial at the Presbyterian Church Cemetery near Kamrar.

Grace (Mamminga) Klaver, the daughter of John G. and Gepka (Johnson) Mamminga, was born Sept. 26, 1903 on a farm east of Kamrar. She was reared and educated in the Kamrar school and community. She attended high school in Webster City, graduating to teach for six years in country schools.

On Feb. 15, 1928 she married Eilt H. Klaver at Kamrar. The couple farmed near Kamrar until his death in 1980. Mrs. Klaver continued to live on the farm until 1991, when she moved to Southfield Care Center in Webster City. She was a member of the Community Church of Kamrar, the Dorcas Society, and was active in various church women's organizations.

Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Dona Klaver, Kamrar; grandchildren, Kay Klaver and Kirby Pothast; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Esther Klaver, Kamrar; a brother, Carl Mamminga, Kamrar; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers, George, Reinder, Jack and Mike, three sisters, Lena Olthoff, Jennie Welp, Marie Klaver and two infant sisters.
