Henry LuVern Holdgrafer, 45, of Eagle Grove died suddenly Wednesday evening, April 15, 1987 at his home of an apparent heart attack. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 18 at 2 p.m. at the Eagle Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Scott C. Hall officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Friends may call at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral home at Eagle Grove after 2 p.m. today, (Friday, April 17).
He was born Aug. 31, 1941, to Dietrich and Luella Holdgrafer at Blairsburg. He attended Superior Rule School southeast of Webster City and also went to Webster City High School. He was an employee of Giese Construction of Eagle Grove. On July 3, 1986, he married LaVonne Tesdahl at Eagle Grove. Survivors include his wife, LaVonne; one son, Jeff Holdgrafer of Webster City; three step-daughters, Jeannie Melhus of Massena, Jill Tesdahl of Cedar Rapids and Jan Tesdahl of Eagle Grove; one stepson, James Tesdahl of Cedar Rapids; his mother, Luella Holdgrafer of Webster City; one brother, Keith Holdgrafer of Kamrar; two sisters, Lois Turner of Chillicothe, Mo., and Delores Day of Webster City, two stepgrandsons and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, John Holdgrafer.
