Truey Ervin Adams (Ervie) the son of William David Adams (W.D.) and Mary Lavisa Myers Adams (Minnie). Was born February 25, 1896 in Webster City, Iowa. He moved with his family to Cleo Springs, OK when he was a small boy. The family homesteaded on 160 acres near Fairview, Oklahoma. They returned in 1908 to the Webster City area. Ervie was reared and educated in Oklahoma and Webster City community. He married Mildred Beatrice McFarland, December 15,1918. Following their marriage they farmed for several years near Lamberton, Minn. He was later employed by McCollough,Inc. for 23 years as a salesman. On November 12,1962 Mildred passed away following a short illness. They had eight children together: Margaret, Martha, Mary, Beverly, Edward, Donald, Erwin, Larry. Ervie married Viola Miller on November 18, 1964. The couple made their home in Lamberton, Minn. were Ervie was employed by the Badger Equipment Co. at Sanborn. Ervie passed away in the early morning of May 14,1971 at his home, at the age of 75.
He was survived by his wife Viola; eight children, Margaret (Forest)Bailey of Celina,Ohio; Martha (M. T.) Prunty of Denver, Colo.; Mary (Kenneth) Arduser of Madelia, Minn.; Edward B. Adams of Cedar Falls,Iowa; Donald D. Adams of Sherburn, Minn.; Beverly (Darwin) Marker of Woolstock, Iowa; Erwin Adams of Hillman, Mich.; Larry R. Adams of St. Charles, Minn.; Four step-children, Joyce (Douglas) Zimmerman of Windom, Minn.; Delores (Joseph) Roiger of Springfield, Minn.; Carol (August) Rogotzke of Jeffers, Minn.; Margie (Thomas) Loose of Anaheim, California; 12 grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren; four brothers and one sister. Edger Adams,Fresno,Calif.; Stanley Adams, Weiser, Idaho; Clarence Adams, Armstrong, Iowa; Mike Adams, Eagle Grove,Iowa and Zephia (F. E.) Ruhl, Webster City,Iowa. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Mary, four sisters Ruby, Mae, Estey Laverne and Bessie Fern, his first wife Mildred McFarland Adams. Burial in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, Iowa.
