Minnie E. Blundon Myers Johnson, age 88, of Colorado City, born Nov. 19, 1917, passed away Jan. 18, 2006. Survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Eugene R. Johnson; son, Donald Myers; daughter-in-law, Gillian Myers; and grandsons, Jeffrey (Denise) Myers and Brian Myers. Also survived by great-granddaughters, Lindsay and Chelsea Myers; brother-in-law, Roger (Connie) Johnson; special friends, Fred and Mary Hale and Bert Shiner; and numerous other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, George and Pearl Blundon; sisters, Marjorie Beasor and Helen Blundon; twin brother, George Blundon; and son, Leonard A. Myers. Minnie enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, homemaking, and especially enjoyed her art (oil and watercolors). She was a member of Home United Methodist Church and Colorado City Lions Club. Minnie and Eugene were married in Havelock, Neb. After Eugene's graduation from the University of Nebraska, (BSEE) they moved to Bethlehem, Penn. From Bethlehem, they moved to Browndeer, Wis., then to Pueblo and on to Colorado City from 1969 to present. Before her marriage to Eugene, she was married to Earl Myers (deceased) and lived in Wheeling, W.Va., where her sons, Donald and Leonard were born. She then moved to Lincoln, Neb., to live with her parents and that is where she met and married Eugene. At her request, cremation with a memorial service, 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 2006, Home United Methodist Church in Rye. Inurnment, Colorado City Cemetery.

Belmond, Iowa, - Minnie E. Blundon Myers Johnson, 88, Colorado City, CO, died January 18, 2006. A memorial service will be held January 27 at the Home United Methodist Church in Rye, CO. Inurnment will be in the Colorado City Cemetery. She is survived by her husband Eugene R. Johnson; son Donald Myers; and brother-in-law Roger (Connie) Johnson of Belmond.
