May 5, 1902 -- January 24, 1955

Herman A. Egemo, 52, of 161 Sycamore St., died at 5 a. m. Monday at Schoitz Memorial Hospital. He had been ill since the early part of December 1954. Mr. Egemo was a member First Lutheran Church, and had been employed by Rath Packing Co. for the past seven years. He was born May 5, 1902, at Story County, the son of Samuel and Sophia Elvgerbick Egemo. He married Edith Livingston Sept. 11, 1924, in Corwith. His wife died in 1939, and he moved to Waterloo from Goldfield in 1945. Surviving are a son, Erving of 125 Mobile St.; four daughters, Mrs. Clyde Jones, 1715 Corning Ave.; Miss Shuraleen Egemo, at home; Mrs. Wilma Runyan, 236 Vaughan St.; Mrs. Ronald Heaton, 1617 Sycamore St.; five grandchildren; three brothers, all of Story City, Martin, Luther, and Bill Egemo, three sisters, all of Ames, Mrs. Julia Ford, Mrs. Martin Wierson, and Mrs. Chester Siberell. He was preceded in death by his father, wife two brothers and a sister. Funeral arrangements are pending at Chapel of Memories.

Herman Egemo, former resident of Goldfield, died Monday (24 Jan 1955) at Waterloo. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Waterloo and burial was in the Glenwood cemetery in Goldfield. Mr. Egemo is survived by four daughters and one son.
