Robert (Bob) N. Crosby, 74, of Webster City, Iowa, left this earth to be with his Lord on November 24, 2010 at Crestview Senior Living. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on December 2 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Travis Schmidt officiating. Arrangements were made with Gunderson Funeral Home in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
Robert (Bob) N. Crosby was born on November 5, 1936 to James and Hazel (Beadle) Crosby in Moorland, Iowa. He spent his early years and education in Fort Dodge, Iowa. His family moved to Woolstock when he was in third grade. He was a good basketball and baseball player. He worked for Millard Hurt and in logging for awhile. He then worked for Arrow Acme for 42 years and retired at the age of 62 due to failing health. On November 27, 1955, he married Sharon L. McVicker. They were blessed with two sons and one daughter. They moved to Webster City in 1980.
Mr. Crosby is survived by his wife, Sharon, his sons Robert (Lynn) Crosby Jr. of St. Albans, Vermont and Jeffrey (Kathleen) Crosby of Centerville, Ohio and a daughter, Belinda Sue (Gary) Henning of Arlington, Texas, eight grandchildren, two sisters Doris Bauman of Clarion, Iowa and Deloris Hill of Stratford, Iowa, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents, two infant brothers and one sister.
He was a faithful member of St. Pau1's Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his family, and playing cards with his friends at Kelly's. He will be deeply missed.
