Rilla Brown, 95, of Dardanelle, Arkansas, a former Webster City resident, died Tuesday, November 17, 2010 at the River Valley Medical Center at Dardanelle. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 27 at Graceland Cemetery, with Rev. Craig Blaufuss officiating. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.

Rilla Evelyn Boynton, daughter of Burrell and Ethel Goodrich Boynton, was born July 22, 1915 at Webster City. She received her education in the Webster City school system, graduating from Lincoln High. On March 31, 1935, she married Lyman Range Brown at Webster City. The couple resided in California for several years. They then moved to Clarion and in 1944 moved to Webster City. From 1954 to 1958, they operated a drive-in restaurant at Alden. Returning to Webster City in 1958. Mr. Brown died December 1, 1964. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Brown is survived by sons, Douglas (Susie) Brown of Clear Lake, MN; Philip Brown of Winterset; daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Rich Ballantine of New Blaine, AR; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, George G. Goodrich; sons, David and Benjamin Brown; daughter-in-infancy, Barbara Joan Brown; grandsons, Brent and Barry Ballantine; daughter-in-law, Lynda Smith; and son-in-law, Rodney Ruhl. She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist at Fort Dodge and a former member of Purity Rebekah Lodge # 72.
