ALGONA — Clarence Melvin Fish, 72, of 917 N. Minnesota St., died Sunday (Dec. 28, 1997) at the Kanawha Community Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Geilenfeld-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home in Algona. Burial will be held in the Corwith Cemetery, with military graveside rites by Elmer-Wilson Post No. 229 of Corwith. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Geilenfeld-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home in Algona.

Clarence Melvin Fish was born June 2, 1925, in Forest City. Survivors include his wife, Alvina Fish, Algona; one daughter, Marilyn, of Pensacola, Fla.; one stepson, Michael Fisch, of Algona; one stepdaughter, Kathy Shear, of South Beloit, Ill.; three grandchildren; and six stepgrandchildren; one brother, Albert Fish, Corwith; two half brothers, Russell "Buck" Van Zandt, of Clinton, Wis., and Robert Van Zandt, of Janesville, Wis.; one half sister, Sharon Mina, of Madera, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one half brother and one stepgranddaughter.
