Margaret Olmstead, 91, of Webster City, died Sunday, January 2, 2005 at the Trinity Regional Medical Center at Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Fosters Chapel, with Rev. Gerald Caquelin officiating. Burial will be in the Cass Township Cemetery, north of Webster City. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center prior to the service on Wednesday.

Margaret Viola Myers, daughter of Everett and Sarah Stone Myers, was born November 25, 1913 at DeSmet, S.D. She received her education at DeSmet. On July 19, 1933, she married Ralph Everett Olmstead. The couple resided at Webster City. She worked at the Maid-Rite and was a homemaker. Mr. Olmstead died July 24, 1978. She had resided at Southfield Wellness Community for the past month.

Margaret is survived by a son, Harold Olmstead of Webster City; grandchildren, Anita Hook of Fort Dodge; Marcia Olmstead, Teresa McCoy and Jonathan Olmstead, all of Webster City; Kevin Olmstead of Carpentersville, Il.; 4 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; sister, Evelyn Hand of Webster City; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by son, Everett Olmstead in 1991; daughter-in-law, Beverly Olmstead in 1990; parents; step-mother, Flora Belle Meeker Myers; sister, Mildred Frette.
