Thelma Eva Hurst Nairn died August 24, 1993;.... Daughter of John & Winifred (Davis) Hurst, was born on a farm east of Webster City. She married Melvyn Nairn on Sept. 28, 1936 at Webster City. They farmed east of Webster City for 25 years. She had been employed at the Hamilton Co. Public Hospital in the dietary department for several years. For the past 8 years, she has resided at Crestview Manor Care Center. She is survived by daughters, Donna Spangler, Sonoma, Calif., Sheryl Sego, Clarion, Kathy Macias, Minneapolis, MN.; son, Roger Nairn, Eagle Grove; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Zelpha Williams, Bentonville, Ark. and Vera McCartney, Webster City; brother, Howard Hurst, Atlanta, GA.; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Melvyn, in October 1980, her parents; sister, Dorothy Kibbee; and son-in-law, Ronald Spangler.
