RITES WEDNESDAY FOR PIONEER CLARION MAN

Clarion, IA -- Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of Christ for Emmer L. Mechem, 86, who died at his home Monday afternoon following a long illness. The Rev. Paul L. Stacy was to officiate. Burial was to be in Clarion Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Mechem, a pioneer resident of Wright county is survived by his wife, 2 daughters, Mrs. E. E. Maxheimer of Clarion, Mrs. Ray Tillman of Dows; 4 sons, Clark and Wynne Mechem of Thompson; Dr. Lee Mechem of Sumner and Maurice Mechem of Clarion; 4 brothers, Alrie Mechem, Frank Mechem and Arthur Mechem, all of Clarion, and Homer Mechem of Mason City, and one sister, Mrs. Anna Nagle of Clarion.
