October 17, 1933 -- October 7, 2010

Mrs. Jeanette Bradley, 76, of Maryville, MO., was called home to God and her beloved husband Arnold on October 7th, 2010. Mrs. Bradley was born on October 17, 1933 in Red Oak, Iowa; she was the last surviving child of William Reilly and Gladys Rogers. She moved at a young age with her family to Hamburg IA where she spent many idyllic years as a child and young adult. Mrs. Bradley graduated from Hamburg High School and the Capitol Beauty School in Omaha, NE . She worked for a short time as a beautician at Brandeis in Omaha, NE before realizing her dream as a homemaker when she married the love of her life Arnold L. Bradley in May of 1956. She was a devoted wife and loving stay-at-home mom to six children. Mrs. Bradley loved cheering and hand wringing at wrestling matches, attending band performances, celebrating birthdays, playing card games and any other activity involving her children or grandchildren. She spent much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold L Bradley, her parents, her brother David Rogers, and sisters Gloria Harrell and Cleo Sue Martin. Mrs. Bradley's family was her pride, her joy and her life. She is survived by her children Michael (Becky) Bradley of Des Moines, IA, Linda Metty of Aylett, VA, Jeffrey (Holly) Bradley of Waterloo, IA, Deborah (David) DiNenna of Ft. Meade, MD, James (Heddy) Bradley of Kansas City MO and John (Cindy Poindexter) Bradley of Kansas City MO and eight grandchildren, Steven, KayeLani, and Jennifer Bradley, from Des Moines, IA, Katelin Hemmingsen of Ft. Meade, MD, Caleb Bradley of Kansas City, MO, Jacob and Morgan Bradley of Waterloo, IA and Ian Bradley of Kansas City MO.

The family wishes to thank Hospice of Kansas City for their kindness, patience and care to Mrs. Bradley. The family also wishes to thank the Gagne family of Kansas City for their generosity and kindness during this difficult time and Charles and Mary Breedlove for the care they took as Jeanette's neighbors in Maryville all of these years. In Lieu of flowers please make a donation to the American Cancer Society Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. at Rash-Gude Funeral Home in Hamburg, Iowa on Sunday evening, October 10, 2010. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 11, 2010 at the Baptist Church in Hamburg, IA with Pastor Tom Beutler officiating; burial will follow the services in the Hamburg Cemetery.
