Dalton L. Reineking, 59, Mason City, died September 22, 2010 at Muse Norris Hospice in Mason City. A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 2 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mason City with Reverend Jim Magelssen officiating. Inurnment will be in the Coulter Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd Street N.E. in Mason City. Memorials may be directed in Dalton’s name to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
Dalton was born August 1, 1951 in Coulter to Wilbert and Dorothy (Christiansen) Reineking. He attended grade school at CAL Community and later moved to Rowan. He graduated from Belmond High School in 1969. He went on to graduate from NIACC and Southern Colorado College in Pueblo. Dalton married Kay Cannon in 1979, and to that union two children were born. They later divorced.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Lowell; and brother-in-law James Freeze. He is survived by his daughter Sarah (Dr. James) Hsiao of Orlando, FL; son Kevin Reineking of Tulsa, OK; his beloved companion Jean Bruesewitz and her children Tracy (Rob) Teeter, Bryan (Nicole) Balduf and Brittney Balduf; his sister Maxine Freese of Coulter; brother Loren (Shirley) Reineking of Des Moines; nephew Norlyn (Lois) Freeze; nieces Tracy (Scott) Strohm and Kerri (James) Curtis; and dear friends Jayne and Brian Carlson, Bob and Sarah Kress, and Kevin and Mary Jo Griffin.
