HUMBOLDT, IA - James Brodale Zorn, age 82, of Rockville, Maryland, died September 8, 2010 at the Collinswood Nursing Home in Rockville. Funeral services will be Friday, September 24, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the Mason Lindhart Funeral Home with visitation prior to the service. Interment will be at Our Savior's Cemetery Corinth Township, Humboldt County, Iowa.

James Brodale Zorn was born April 10, 1928 in Rochester, Minnesota, the son of Clyde and Sarah (Brodale) Zorn. His family moved to Chicago when he was a child, then to Humboldt after his father died. He graduated from Humboldt High School and from Iowa State University with a degree in Chemical Engineering. As a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps, he worked in the electronics of the atomic bomb (Manhattan Project). After his honorable discharge, he worked in the civilian nuclear energy industry for the Morton Company, Westinghouse, and the Atomic Energy Commission (later Department of Energy) in Washington, D.C. from which he retired. He made his home in Clarksburg, Maryland. James Zorn is survived by his children Diana Miller of Boulder, Colorado and James Zorn of Clarksburg, Maryland.
