Rev. Larry McAlpine, age 60, passed away September 5, 2010. Larry entered the United Methodist Ministry in 1976 and served congregations throughout the state of Iowa. God and Larry’s loving family were very important in his life. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survived by wife, Connie; sons and daughters-in-laws, Larry and April McAlpine and Thomas and Carrie McAlpine; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Doug Maaske; grandchildren, Faith and Joel Petersen, Riley and Samuel McAlpine, Jordain, Dylan and Jaden Cooper, Kody McAlpine, Lillian Maaske; brother, Rex McAlpine; nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and many friends.

Memorial Service Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at Salem United Methodist Church, visitation beginning with the family at 9:30 a.m. Memorials suggested to Lampost Christian Theatre Company, 204 W. Seerley Blvd., Cedar Falls, Iowa, 50613.

Rev. Larry McAlpine, 60, Council Bluffs, died September 5, 2010. Services were held September 9 at Salem United Methodist Church. Larry grew up in Rowan and graduated from Belmond High School. He entered the United Methodist ministry in 1976 and served congregations throughout Iowa.

He is survived by his wife Connie; sons Larry (April) McAlpine and Thomas (Carrie) McAlpine; daughter Jennifer (Doug) Maaske; grandchildren Faith and Joel Petersen, Riley and Samuel McAlpine, Jordain, Dylan and Jaden Cooper, Kody McAlpine and Lillian Maaske; and brother Rex McAlpine.
