Hold Knox Rites

Funeral services for Ben Knox, 78, retired farmer at Thor, were held Thursday, May 16, 1963 at 2 p.m. at Ullensvang Lutheran Church at Thor. Mr. Knox died May 14 at his home. The Rev. David Lee officiated and burial was in Buffalo Township cemetery, Titonka, with the Sandvig Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, in charge.

Mr. Knox was born at Jewell. He was married in 1922 to Pearl Blanche Meyer. The couple lived at Corwith before moving to a farm in the Thor area in 1943.

He is survived by his widow; three sons, Allen Knox of Hoyt Lakes, Minn., Kenneth Hansen of Pasco, Wash., and Claire Hansen of Chicago, Ill; one brother, Charles Knox of Lehigh; three sisters, Mrs. Laura Oberender, Mrs. Lucy Kinnetz, Mrs. Emma Glaman, all of Jewell, and eight grandchildren.
