Willard Paul Dunfee was born December 2, 1920 in Corwith, son of George and Mary Eva (Farrel) Dunfee. He grew up in Corwith where he attended school. Willard then served in the United States Navy during World War II. Bud worked 30 years at John Deere Company in Waterloo before retiring in 1978 and moving to Corwith. He was active in the Corwith American Legion. He enjoyed fishing and visiting with his friends.
Willard P. "Bud" Dunfee died Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at the Manorcare Health Services in Waterloo at the age of 88. He is survived by a son, David Dunfee and his wife Gerry of Waterloo; a daughter, Michelle Billington; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother Donald Dunfee and his wife Fern of Waterloo; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Eldred; and two sisters, Maxine and Glenice.
