A funeral for Clifford Amos Applegate will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, in the United Methodist Church in Woodburn, where he was a member. He died March 31, 1996, at age 92. Mr. Applegate was born Nov. 22, 1903, in Corwith, Iowa. He married Anna Mae Olson in 1926. They lived in Iowa before moving to California in 1942, and to Woodburn in 1947. He was a retired machinist at a frozen foods plant. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Arvis Wampole and Ruth Marie Chapin, both of Woodburn; brother, Victor of Algona, Iowa; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Interment will be in Belle Passi Memorial Mausoleum in Woodburn. Arrangements are by Cornwell Colonial Chapel.
