Dale A. Leemaster, 84, of Pine Bluffs died Feb. 6 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Mr. Leemaster was born Sept. 13, 1924, in Toledo, Ohio. He married Shirley J. Krauss on July 27, 1974, in Corwith, Iowa. He served in the Army during World War II. He worked as a farmer and rancher. Mr. Leemaster was a member of Pine Bluffs United Methodist Church; the Pine Bluffs Sportsman's Club; the National Riffle Association; the Amateur Trapshooting Association; the Pine Bluffs Heritage Society; the Cheyenne Trap and Skeet Club; and a past board member of Fire District No. 5.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley J. Leemaster of Pine Bluffs; daughters, Debbie McCann (Dennis) of Cheyenne and Cindy Kern of Fostoria, Ohio; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Leemaster was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel C. and Gertrude (Elenbaas) Leemaster; brother, Harld Leemaster; and sister, Margaret Tracy.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Pine Bluffs United Methodist Church with Pastor Dale Lovett officiating. Burial will be in Pine Bluffs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Bruckner, Lloyd Sisson, John Wise, Ed Kinder, Carl Carmichael and Merrill Sargent. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Perkins, Rodney Soppe, Glenn Jewel, Bob Yeager and Van Lemaster. Contributions can be made to Pine Bluffs United Methodist Church, the Pine Bluffs Sportsman's Club or Pine Bluffs Heritage Society. Arrangements by Schrader Funeral Home.
