G. Russell Ross, 85, of Yakima died Tuesday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Mr. Ross was born in Corwith, Iowa. He was a music professor for many years at Central Washington University. Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Ross of Yakima; his children, Gary Ross of Spanaway, Sharon Allen of Yakima, Lorna Bonnin of Covina, Calif., Mark Guthrie of Yakima and Erin Guthrie Eirschele of Kirkland; a brother, Don Ross of Britt, Iowa; and six grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 6015 Summitview Ave., Yakima. Keith & Keith Funeral Home, Yakima, is in charge of arrangements.
