BEMENT, IL - Warren W. Wildman, 89, Alameda Ca., peacefully passed away at home on Tuesday January 19th, 2010. He leaves his devoted wife of 23 years, Barbara A. Wildman; children Sharon Mitchell, Nancy Mourer (husband Ron), Jim Albright (wife Debra), Marjorie Albright; sisters Joyce Halterman and Betty Voss of Indiana; grandchildren, Kimberley Stevens (husband Paul), Scott Mitchell, Sean Wildman (wife Jeanne), Darrin Mourer (wife Alicia), Marissa Paxton (husband Laramie), David Albright, Katie Consiglio (husband Wayne), Ronda Van Gundy (fiancee) Jeff Thomas); great-grandchildren Trent Mitchell, Katelyn Wildman, Ethan Mourer, Jillian Mourer, Amelia Rose Mourer; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Helen (Bruce) Wildman, parents Lena and Russell, brothers Carlton, Berdette, Donavan "Hobb", and Keith.

Warren was born in Corwith, Iowa to Lena Hammon and Russell Wildman. He was the fourth child of seven brothers and sisters. The family moved to Bement, Illinois where Warren attended school and graduated from Bement High School in 1938. He was a WWII Navy Veteran who served on the hospital ship the USS Benevolence in the Pacific, continuing on with the U.S. Naval Reserve and retired as Chief Hospital Corpsman. Warren retired from the City of Oakland Health Department, and as an administrator for the Urban Renewal Department. He also worked for the California Grand Lodge of F and A. M. in San Francisco as Director of Charitable Giving. He belonged to a number of Masonic Orders of F. and A.M. Was a 50-year member of Fruitvale Lodge #113 (currently San Leandro Lodge #336), served as Past Master and Secretary. He was also was a dual member of Island City Lodge #215 In Alameda, and served as Grand Tiler in the Grand Lodge of F. and A.M. of the State of California. A member of Scottish Rite, Aahmes Shriners, The Robert The Bruce Association, Royal Order of Scotland, Oakland High Twelve also a Rainbow Dad.

In addition he was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, serving as Worthy Patron of Elm Hurst Chapter #445 (currently the Lake Chabot Chapter #3), a dual member of Carita Chapter # 115 (currently Alameda Oak Leaf #8). Warren served the Grand Chapter of California, OES as Worthy Grand Patron in 1984. He was a member of many organizations: Commander of the American Legion, Number 337, Jefferson Elementary School PTA, Dad's Club, Sons in Retirement (served as Big Sir), Ashlar Club, and the Alameda First Presbyterian Church. In addition to being busy with all these associated groups he enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting, and traveling and was an avid fan of the Oakland Raiders.

Memorial Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Saturday January 30th at 1 P.M. 2001 Santa Clara Avenue, Alameda CA 94501. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Warren Wildman to the Eastern Star Home Endowment Fund; 16960 Bostanchury Road Suite E, Yarba Linda, California, 92886 -1711, or donations can be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 2001 Santa Clara Avenue, Alameda CA 94501.
