Darold D. Hill, Age 73 of Wilmington formerly of Joliet passed away at his home Wednesday morning on August 18, 2010. Born June 26, 1937 in Kanawha, Iowa to the late Melvin and Eliza (Johnson) Hill also preceded in death by his grandson Jordan Hill and one brother Mervin Hill. Survived by his best friend and loving wife Clara R. (Knight) Hill of 53 years married in Mason City, Iowa. Two dear sons Daniel (Diane) Hill and Gregory (Mary) Hill both of Joliet; four grandchildren Jason (Sarah) Hill, Jessica (Nate) Applebee, Adam and Alyssa Hill; four great-grandchildren Julia, Grace, Lilly and Emma; one sister Darlene Larson and numerous nieces and nephews. The former owner/operator of R & O/Kapetanic Heating and Cooling Inc. of Joliet for over 45 years. An avid sportsman enjoying hunting and fishing. A gathering of family and friends Friday August 27, 2010 from 10:00AM until time of memorial services at 12:00 Noon at the Freitag Funeral Home Wilmington. Cremation rites have been accorded to Darold's wishes. To family and friends Darold has gone fishing.
