KANAWHA, IA -- Walter Grimm, 87, of Kanawha, died Tuesday (Jan. 14, 1997) at Westview Care Center, Britt. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Kanawha Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David A. Lee officiating. Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Ewing Dugger Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services at the church. Walter Grimm was born July 22, 1909, in Oklahoma. Survivors include his wife, Iola, of Kanawha; one daughter, Deanna Stevenson of Cedar Rapids; four sons, Howard of Council Bluffs; Thomas of Brainerd, Minn.; Terry of Garner, and Robert of Kanawha; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and one brother, Henry of California. He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters.
