CLEAR LAKE, IA -- Karolyn "Kaye" Trampel, 57, of 120 N. 20th St., died Thursday (Oct. 17, 1996) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ, Klemme, with the Rev. Georgia White-Kisslring officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth St., and one hour before services at the church. The family suggests memorials to the Karolyn "Kaye' Trampel
Memorial Fund.

Kaye was born Sept. 24, 1939, in Webster City, the daughter of Lawrence and Lucille (Murphy) Dickerson. She graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1958. She married Ron Trampel on Feb. 26, 1958, in the Evangelical Free Church, Clear Lake. They lived in Sioux City from 1959 to 1965. Kaye and Ron then moved to Clear Lake where they have lived ever since. She worked at various jobs in the Clear Lake area. Kaye enjoyed shopping, going to garage sales, and spending time with her grandchildren. Kay has been battling with illness for over eight years and during that time, she loved to read novels and listen to tapes. Even during her illness, Kaye never lost her sense of humor. She was a member of the Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ, Klemme.

Kaye is survived by her husband, Ron Trampel of Clear Lake; three children, Les Trampel and his wife, Bev; Kim Anderson and her husband, Scott, all of Clear Lake, and Jonathan Trampel and his wife, Melissa, of Graham, Wash.; two sisters, Janette Blanchard and her husband, Paul, of Newton, and Connie Jo Roberts of Waverly; two brothers, Gary Dickerson and his wife, Susan, of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Larry Dickerson of Mason City; and six grandchildren, Bret Ennen, Alyssa Ennen, Elizabeth Trampel, Justin Anderson, Heather Jo Anderson and Alexsandra Trampel.
