KLEMME, IA -- Patricia A. Farquhar, 53, of Klemme, died Friday (June 21, 1996) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East, Mason City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Evangelical Free Church, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Dave Van Wingerden officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Britt. Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel, Garner.

Patricia A. Farquhar the daughter of Herbert and Charlotte (Valley) Hanson, was born on Feb. 26, 1943, at Forest City. She attended the rural schools of Crystal Lake and graduated from Garner-Hayfield High School in 1960. On Nov. 4, 1960, she was married to John David Farquhar at the Presbyterian Church in Garner. The couple farmed southwest of Garner for 33 years and in 1993 moved to rural Klemme where they continued farming. Pat had worked at North Central Human Services in Forest City for a few years and was a volunteer for Crisis Intervention and Hospice of North Iowa. Her great joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Pat enjoyed reading, writing poems, music, camping and working on the computer. She was a member of the Evangelical Free Church.

She is survived by her husband, John, of Klemme; her children, Kenneth Farquhar and his wife Mary, of St. Louis, Mo.; Lisa Miner and her husband, Neil, of Kildeer, Ill., and Michael Farquhar of Pella and his special friend, Windi Olson; three grandchildren, Adam, Matthew and Aimee Farquhar of St. Louis, Mo; her mother, Charlotte Mae Hanson of Garner; and three sisters, Charlene Johnson and her husband Jerry of Truman, Minn.; Jill Anderson and her husband David, of Norwalk, and Lorrie Formanek and her husband Bernie of Garner and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and one son.
