CLARION, IA — George B. Dean, 69, of Lake Cornelia, Clarion, died Friday (March 6, 1998) at home Friday. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the United Church of Christ, Congregational, with the Rev. Curt Miner officiating. His ashes will be scattered by his family as was his wish. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Willim Funeral Home, Clarion. There will be a Masonic service at 7 p.m. the evening of visitation at the funeral home.

George Brewster Dean was born on May 7, 1928, in Clarion. He is survived by his daughter, Sherry Severson, Clarion; two sons, Gary Dean, Waukee, and Mark Dean, San Diego, Calif.; six grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; one brother, Doug Dean, Clarion. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a grandson.
