CLARION, IA — Oris Rae Abbott, 69, of Altoona and Clarion, died Wednesday (April 22, 1998) at the Kavanaugh House, Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ in Clarion, with Mark Young officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Willim Funeral Home, Clarion, and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.

Oris Abbott was born March 24, 1929, on a farm south of Clarion. Survivors include two sisters, Margaret Abbott, of Altoona and Clarion, and Leona Waterson, of Missouri; and one brother, Lynn, of Boone. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one infant brother.
