LATIMER, IA — Marcia A. Root, 75, died Monday (May 4, 1998) at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Immanuel United Church of Christ, Latimer, with the Rev. James Turner officiating. Burial will be in the Alexander Cemetery, Alexander. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Willim Funeral Home, Latimer, and one hour prior to services at the church. Marcia was born June 15, 1922, in Franklin County. Survivors include her husband, Leonard, of Latimer; one son, Leon Root, of Latimer; and one daughter, Charlotte Plagge, of Montevideo, Minn.; seven grandchildren; and one brother, Jim Boylan, of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
