CLARION - Lyle Carleton Stromquist, 72, died Thursday (Sept. 3, 1998) at the North Iowa Mercy Health Center East in Mason City. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1998, at the First United Methodist Church, Clarion, with the Rev. Charles Kellogg officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, with military honors. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Willim Funeral Home, Clarion.

Lyle Carleton Stromquist was born March 27, 1926, in Clarion. Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean, of Clarion; three stepchildren, Connie Jean Gordon, of Fort Dodge; Gary Lynn McCall of Lewisburg, Ky.; and Burdette "Bud" L. McCall, of Barnum; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harold, of Clarion. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, and one stepson.
