During her years in Clarion, she was always active in the life of First Lutheran Church. She headed the women's group and served as superintendent of the Sunday School. She also taught Sunday School for pre-schoolers for many years. Since moving to Forest City, she has been an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
