KANAWHA, June 26.—The funeral of Mrs. Martin Baumgardener, 70, who died Friday morning, was held Monday afternoon at the house and at the Christian Reformed church with the Rev. H. D. Plesscher officiating. Mrs. Baumgardener was born in 1864 in Germany. She moved to Holland where she was married to George Rolfsema. To them one son, John, was born. Later they came to Abbot's Crossing, Iowa, later moving to Alexander. In 1910 her husband died. In 1919 she was married to Martin J. Baumgardener of Kanawha and since lived in Kanawha. Besides her husband, she leaves her son, John Rolfsema of Des Moines; one brother, Daniel Abbas of Kanawha; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Ganzeveld of Crystal Lake, and Mrs. Grace Perton; one granddaughter, Mrs. Carl Callies; two stepsons, Nathan and Okko Baumgardener of Kanawha. Burial was in Alexander.
