Eagle Grove Man Dies at Daughter's Home After IllnessEAGLE GROVE - John Willis Middleton, 79, retired carpenter and builder, died Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jessie Strain, following a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Methodist church in charge of the Rev. J. R. Tumbleson, with burial in Rose Hill cemetery. Eagle Grove, by Kubitschek and Rustler. Surviving are his widow, three daughters and one son. The daughters are Dr. Delia Mattson of Washington, D. C.: Mrs. Jessie Strain of Eagle Grove and Mrs. Blanche O'Malley, living in the state of Oregon. One son, Philip, is in the United States army service at Fort Knox, Ky. Mr. Middleton was born in Troy township, Wright county where he had lived all his life.
