RENWICK — Otto "Swede" Swanson, 94, of the Kanawha Care Center, formerly of Renwick, died Thursday (Jan. 1, 1997) at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church with the Rev. Herbert Schiller officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home. Otto "Swede" Swanson was born Jan. 27, 1903, in Lehigh. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and five brothers.
