Mr. Robert "Bob" S. Carlson, of Shelter Cove, CA age 91 years passed safely home to heaven November 13, 2009 at Jerold Phelps Community Hospital in Garberville, CA of congestive heart failure and myelodysplasia. Born August 20, 1917 Klemme, Iowa the youngest of nine. Graduated Ingram High School. Preceded in death by father Gustaf H. Carlson and mother Jane Ann (Cherry) Carlson. Also preceded by seven sisters and one brother. Preceded in death by first wife Geraldine L. (Wensel) and second wife Glenna Gandy (Cooper). Survived by daughters Karen and Connie and stepson Randy and stepdaughter Trudi. Survived by three grandsons, five granddaughters and eleven great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. A Naval veteran of WWII and long-standing member of Masonic Lodge in Tucson, AZ, L akewood, OH, San Dimas and Victorville, CA. He was truly a gentleman's gentleman. Memorial service Saturday, January 10, 1:30pm Forest Lawn, 21300 Via Verde, Covina, CA. Memorials to MDS Society.
